Stollen Kisses

The Kiss 1897

There is no truer tale then that of the broken heart. For it is not a mythical one. Nor is it only to be read of in great stories of old. However, there are great stories to be told. The tale of the broken heart is carried in all of us. And for those who have not yet felt the chill pass over the heart then sharp suffering...I am sorry, for I fear you can not escape its curse. But, perhaps you may only bear just a prick of its stinging injection before the miracle of loves healing takes over you. I on the other hand seem to relish its dark torture...

Vintage Journals

Cruising around I came across the most wonderful Journals. Since one of my last post was about Journals and such, you can see I have an affinity towards all things made for personal thoughts and expression. I found a few shops with vintage books that have been recycled and turned into notebooks, journals, sketchpads, or anything your heart fancy's. Some even include pages of the original book throughout them, what a wonderful way to connect with the past!

My Ocean

The rolling thunder of the water.
Sand pulling from under my feet.
I remember awe.
The salt in the air as the inhale
fills my lungs with the sweetness of possibilities.
The ocean never ends as I gazed upon it.
Confidently reaching to far places I only imagined existed.

ELEGANT, HANDPAINTED AND OH SO FRENCH

With everything Paris buzzing in the air, I came across the most adorable Etsy store PaintedByRenee! Everything hand made and so Parisian just the idea of owning one of her designs, can't help but make you feel at least a bit French.

I have featured her petite journals measuring 4 1/2" x 3 1/4", and at a more than reasonable cost of $17.50. Just perfect to keep in your bag or night table for all your little secrets or to do lists. But, you must, just must, visit her site to see her cards, tags and gift sets to make sending personal notes exciting again. They also make perfect prints for framing and adding to your own works of art!! Below are her dreamy Journals...enjoy your little trip to the city of romance.

Spurs...

I'm carried away by this heart stung bandit. no word , no sign, just whispered goodbyes. the dust of yesterdays once worn laughter, gone by this gulf of lost lust and pride. you were once my one souls desire, now my heart has not one single beat. wandering this world for pieces to steal, i'm no longer your blinded fools delight. break my heart, you've broken my reserve. what i have given as love, now i shall take back as new life.

Dream Journal

photo taken by GD Company

i wish i could write a symphony. at night the music has started coming to me and it's passionate and fantastic, and grand. when i hear it, it's amazing. in my sleep i try to pull my arms up and conduct, it is a miraculous sight and sound. ...what would i do without my dreams?? in my dreams life can be limitless. This symphony has played twice,  I hope it comes back.

Moonbeams

Moonbeams

the air floats about me like clouds blanket, and i feel free. yet only to the air, not the world and life around me. the pain feels lifted for one moment, then as a butterfly i press each key and humble myself to your memory.
your thievery of all that makes me breath.
i continue to float lightly begging my body, soul, and heart to again share their spirit. but no flutter
no bit of fairy turned magic. and again i fall into my moth burned shame. there to die with patient loss of dreams on setting moons never to be seen.

Sneezy Sheets at TheHoneyPress's Shop!

There is nothing more elegant than a lady with a dainty handkerchief. Or a man who carries two like my father. One for himself and one for the person who may need that extra hanky in a pinch. This being said I have always had a hard time finding just the right handkerchief for myself, until now.

The Honey Press Shop Etsy store may have answered all our needs. They go by the name of "Sneezy Sheets" and have wonderful hand made designs for men and women along with some vintage options for the elegant minimalists. They also offer other cute designs of dish towels, aprons, and pillow cases for your perusal. But, their pride and joy are their "Sneezy Sheets" (and you can't beat the price)!  Bellow are a few favorites, but you must visit the shop to see all 48 designs which come to you wrapped with care.
